The North Star: Based on the true story of two slaves Benjamin "Big Ben" Jones (played by former Philadelphia Eagles' Jeremiah Trotter), and Moses Hopkins. The film follows their perilous journey after escaping from a Virginia plantation as they made their way to freedom in Buckingham, Pennsylvania in 1849. The film is directed by Thomas K. Phillips and also stars Lynn Whitfield, Clifton Powell, Keith David, John Diehl and Thomas C. Bartley, Jr.
